Gama Pehlwan’s full name is Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Baksh- Butt. He was a British Indian wrestler and strongman. He was born on May 22, 1878 and died on May 23, 1960. Rustam-e-Hind, The Great- Gama and The Great- Gama are other names.
In the first half of the 20th century, he was the undisputed world champion in wrestling. Gama Pehalwan was the son of Muhammad Aziz Baksh Baksh and had a brother, Imam Baksh Pehalwan. Gama Pehalwan was married twice, with five sons (and four daughters) and one wife. His granddaughter Kalsoom Nawaz is Nawaz Sharif’s former prime minister of Pakistan.
